Mariano Rivera entered the ninth with a 6-3 lead over the Twins and was simply workmanlike. He struck out Torii Hunter on a high fastball for the first out. He then got Jacque Jones to ground to second for the second out and retired Justin Morneau on a liner to Cano at second to end the game. He now has 362 career saves and is only five away from tying Jeff Reardon for 5th place on the all time list. His season ERA is now lowered to 0.83.
