The Yankees led going into the ninth inning 8-1. Felix Heredia had come on in the eighth but he started the ninth by hitting the first two batters. Tanyon Sturtze relieved and Guzman got an infield single to the right side to load the bases. Cuddyer followed with a single up the middle to make the score 8-2. Play "Enter Sandman", Mo comes on and retires three batters in succession. The Twins score two more runs but he preserves a 8-4 victory for the Yankees in the pivotal third game of the series to put them ahead 2-1 in the series. He lowered his postseason E.R.A. to 0.72.
