09/29: Rivera 52nd save vs. Twins reduces magic # to 3

Mariano Rivera earned his 52nd save of the season against the Twins at the stadium early Tuesday evening. He walked Kubel on four pitches to lead off the inning, but then struck out Hunter looking and got Morneau to hit into a game ending double play. The Yankees faced leading AL CY Young canditate Johan Santana. He was shaky in the first two innings but left after five leading 3-1. The Yankees got four runs in the 7th off Romero and Rincon with A-ROD producing a huge two run triple to give the Yankees the lead. For Rivera, its his 335th career save and puts him only six behind Rollie Fingers for 7th place all time.
