It took Mo a little bit longer to get the save tonight but it ended well again for the Yankees as they won their ninth straight game and are now above .500. Rivera entered the ninth and walked the leadoff hitter Raul Ibanez. Bret Boone hit a ball hard toward the middle but Jeter went down on one knee and turned it into a double play. Jeremy Reed hit a broken bat pop fly single to center before Greg Dobbs battled but struck out to end the game. The Yankees were losing most of the game until the seventh when Bernie Williams hit a grand slam home run to put them ahead 5-2. Each team added a run and the Yankees won the contest 6-3. Rivera now has a season ERA of 1.98.
