05/20: Rivera gets 8th save vs. Mets in first game of Subway Series

Mariano Rivera notched his eighth save of the season in the first game of the Subway Series vs. the Mets at Shea Stadium on Friday night. He retired Jose Reyes, Mike Cameron and Carlos Beltran in order with no trouble and preserved a 5-2 victory for the Yankees and Kevin Brown. Its his 344th career save and puts him only three behind Randy Myers for sixth place on the all-time career saves list. His season E.R.A. is now lowered to 1.84.
