Mariano Rivera worked another scoreless inning vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday afternoon. He surrendered a single to Johnny Estrada before striking out Eric Byrnes for the first out. He then got former Yankee Tony Clark to break his bat which resulted in a 4-6-3 double play to end the inning.
Rivera made nine appearances for the Spring, pitching nine innings and only giving up two hits, one run, twelve strikeouts, a walk and one hit batter. His ERA for the Spring was 1.00.
