Mariano Rivera made his first appearance against Boston this year pitching the ninth in a non-save situation on Wednesday night.
Wille Harris was the first batter and grounded out to second. Next was Alex Gonzalez who grounded back to Mo for the second out. Kevin Youkilis battled but eventually flew out to right to end the game.
Rivera is 0-2 on the season with six saves in seven opportunities. His ERA for the season is now at 2.57. He is now at 385 career saves which puts him only five behind Dennis Eckersley for fourth place on the all time career saves list.
