Last night: a rarity. After pitching a 1-2-3 10th (Aaron Hill, John McDonald and Reed Johnson), Frank Catalanotto singled to start the bottom of the 11th. However, he was caught stealing, which brought up Vernon Wells. And it was then that Mariano allowed his first home run (including the play-offs) since August 16 of last year. This gave the Blue Jays a 5-4 victory.
Mariano's record falls to 4-5 with his ERA coming up to 2.10.
