Mariano Rivera earned his 30th save of the season on Saturday afternoon as the Yankees defeated the Angels 5-2.
Rivera faced Juan Rivera to start the inning and got him to fly to center for the first out. Curtis Pride was next as grounded to short for the second out. Howie Kendrick was the last hope and grounded out to second to end the game.
Rivera is 4-5 on the season with 30 saves in 33 save opportunities. His season ERA now stands at 1.89.
