Mariano finished the second game of the Yankees/Red Sox doubleheader, giving the Yankees a 14 to 11 win. He got Mark Loretta to foul out before surrending a home run to David Ortiz. An A-Rod error allowed Manny to each safely, but that would be the end of it as Mike Lowell flied out to right and Wily Mo Pena grounded out to first.
Mo's ERA climbs to 1.94 due to the earned run.
