Mariano Rivera will throw again today, but he won't be doing it off a mound. That won't happen until Rivera no longer feels any tightness near his elbow.
Manager Joe Torre said the tightness that Rivera has been feeling recently has moved down his forearm and is about halfway to his wrist. Torre is encouraged about that, saying trainer Gene Monahan believes it's a sign the muscles are loosening.
