Yankee fans relax, Mo is back with a vengeance. Mariano Rivera pitched for the first time since August 31 and was simply awesome!

Rivera struck out the side in a one inning performance to earn his 34th save of the season. Carl Crawford led off and Mo had him 1-2 when he broke his bat with a devastating cutter which Crawford blooped to right for a single. Greg Norton struck out swinging for the first out. Ty Wigginton was hit with a pitch. With the tying run coming to the plate, Rivera closed the door by striking out Dioner Navarro and B.J. Upton to end the game.

The save for Rivera is his 413th of his career. His season ERA now stands at 1.87.
