Mariano Rivera worked a scoreless seventh inning against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays on Monday night as the Yankees won handily 16-1
Rivera faced Rocco Baldelli to start the inning and he reached on an infield single when Cairo couldn't handle the throw from short on a close play. Delmon Young grounded weakly to short and Baldelli went to second on the play. Carl Crawford also grounded out to short with Baldelli moving to third on the play. Mo struck out Greg Norton looking to end the game.
Rivera is 5-5 on the season with 34 saves and his ERA now stands at 1.85.
