Mariano was brought in to close a 7-2 victory against the Mariners on Saturday. There was some drama, but he managed to get out of it without allowing a run.
To start off, Mo walked Javy Lopez. This was followed by Ben Broussard who reached on the error. Lopez went to 3rd. 1st and 3rd, no out for Ichiro Suzuki. Ichiro grounded in a fielder's choice with Javy Lopez being thrown out at the plate.
Jose Vidro grounded to Jeter to start a 6-4-3 double play to end the game.
No save for Mo, but his ERA is now down to 7.11.
