06/09: Rivera gets win with two inning effort vs. the Pirates

With the scored tied at four and being at home, Joe Torre called on Mo in the ninth to hold the Pirates and give the Yankees a chance to win the game in the bottom of the inning.
Doumit singled to right to start the inning and Mo walked another batter but struck out two in the inning to leave the runners stranded. The Yankees could not score in the bottom of the ninth and Rivera was kept in for the tenth. In the bottom of the tenth, Freddy Sanchez singled, but Mo struck out the next batter and got Xavier Nady to ground into an inning ending double play. In the bottom of the tenth the Yankees scored a run on a Derek Jeter infield single with the bases loaded to win the game 5-4. Rivera was credited with the win and in now 2-3 on the season.
