08/11: Rivera works scoreless inning as Yankees beat Tribe 6-1

Posted by: David
Mariano Rivera needed work and although Friday night wasn't a save situation, Mo entered in the ninth in an attempt to stay sharp.

He faced Victor Martinez first and got him to ground to second on a broken bat for the first out. He then struck out Ryan Garko swinging and got Peralta to line to first to end the game. His season ERA now stands at 2.77.
