Posted by: David
The Yankees returned to the "W" column on Wednesday night after losing three straight. Rivera entered in the ninth with the Yankees leading 5-1 and made quick work of the Blue Jays. He caught Scott Rolen and Matt Stairs looking and got Lyle Overbay to ground to first with he covering to end the game.

Rivera is 1-1 on the season with 15 saves and his ERA now stands at 0.35.

Mo pitched in 1-2-3 ninth, striking out 2 with 14 pitches in a no save situation. Mariano looks better than ever and making it look very easy, a very dominant reliever with good control, movement and location. No doubts, that Mo is arguably the most valuable Yankees over the last twelve years.

Oh, by the way. Few days ago, Mariano Rivera, No. 42, was named the AL's Player of the Week by Bank of America for the first time in Mo career.
