06/08: Rivera Records 16th Straight Save of Season as Yanks Beat Royals, 6-3

Posted by: David
Mariano Rivera did it the Mo way on Sunday afternoon by setting down the Royals on only seven pitches. Olivo flied out and Gload and Aviles grounded to second for the other two outs.

Rivera saved the first major league win for Dan Giese who relieved Joba Chamberlain for the second straight start. For Rivera, it's his 16th save of the season and 459th of his career. His season ERA now stands at 0.64.

Well presented David in regards to Mariano pitching a perfect ninth for his 16th save. Hope, that the Yankees will find more consistency in order to produce more victories and more opportunites for Closer Mariano Rivera.
