06/09: Rivera Gives up Homer to Guillen in Ninth as Yankees Lose 3-2

Mo entered in the ninth with the scored tied at 2 and series Yankee killer Jose Guillen took him deep to left on an 0-2 pitch. Guillen was 9 for 16 in the series with four homers and 10 RBI. He was able to retire the next three batters in order on a ground out and two strike outs, but the damage was done. The Yankees loaded the bases in the ninth with two outs, but Melky Cabrera grounded to first to end the game.

Rivera is now 2-2 on the season and his ERA now stands at 0.93.

It was a tough one for Mo, again. Jose G. hitted that cutter pretty well; it was not a bad pitch, but the location was not perfect, either. Those things jus happen and you do not see it very often.
