09/14: Mo Makes Second Appearance Since August 30; Saves Win Against Rays

Posted by: Patrick
The Yankees rallied late to take a 6-5 lead against the Rays on Saturday night, handing Mo a 2 run lead in the ninth. He would need the insurance run as, with two outs, Evan Longoria hit a pinch hit single into right, cutting the lead to one. After that, Justin Ruggiano was retired on a ground out to end the game.

Mo collects save number 34 and his ERA goes up to 1.55. From August 30 through last night, Mo has only seen 2 and 1/3 innings of action over 2 appearances.

The reason why mo earned a run yesterday is because... he is pitching with many days off......
