09/29: Thank You

Since the Yankees and, as such, Mr. Rivera's season is now over, I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone that has visited and supported MarianoRivera.com this season. It is greatly appreciated.
For the first time ever, Mo is not headed to the postseason. It stings, but he still had an amazing season and one of the best of his career. His ERA of 1.40 was bettered only in 2005 when he had a 1.38 ERA in 7 and 2/3 more innings. He has never had a better WHIP than the 0.66 he had this season. The closest being 0.86, also in 2005. Once again, he exemplified what it means to be a truly great closer, due to his durability and reliability. So, thanks to Mo for an awesome season. I think we're all looking forward to him opening up the new ballpark and collecting the first save. I'd also like to thank my fellow blogger here, David, for his work and dedication in recapping the games that Mr. Rivera has pitched in. During the offseason, we'll continue to follow Mr. Rivera as news comes up. So, we hope you'll stay with us as any and all Mo related stories develop. Thank you for visiting MarianoRivera.com. Mo will be back and better than ever next year. This was quite a remarkable season for Mo. Unfortunately, his success could not carry the entire team.
