Posted by: David
Mariano Rivera worked the ninth inning of a 4-3 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday night in the Bronx.

Phil Hughes worked the eighth and Mo took over in the ninth. He gave up a single to Billy Butler before he got a double play and a ground out to end the inning. He only threw ten pitches and lowered his ERA to 1.79.
