04/21: Andy Pettitte and Mariano Rivera Tie the Record for Most Games Won and Saved as a Duo
Posted by: Patrick
Mo's save in tonight's game gave the duo of Andy Pettitte and Mariano Rivera a piece of a record, according to MLB.com's Bryan Hoch.
It was the 57th time that Mo has saved a game that Andy has won - this ties the record held by Dennis Eckersley and Bob Welch. Hopefully they can get number 58 soon. Thanks etluva. CommentsPatrick wrote:

What about Mariano with 39-year-old; Mo is as good right now as he was 10 years ago; with good control and location, it is really amazing. hope that he will be around for few more years.
This combination of pitchers with a lot of longevity, amaze me. It is unbelievable how they are able to go out there and just win-save games.
