A.J. Burnett wasn't solid again but with the aid of five home runs the Yankees battled the Orioles and eventually came out on top with a 9-6 victory.
Rivera faced Nick Markakis to start the inning and got him to ground to second on a 3-2 pitch for the first out. Nolan Reimold singled sharply to left and Luke Scott battled and on the seventh pitch of the AB hit a sharp one bouncer to Cano who turned it into a game ending 4-6-3 double play.
The save for Rivera is his 38th of the season and 520th of his career. It is also his 34th consecutive save of the season and his ERA now stands at 1.78. Rivera has only given up one earned run in his last 29 appearances.
