It was set up perfect with A.J. Burnett pitching seven strong innings, Phil Hughes pitching a strong eighth and the Bombers with a one run lead. However, Mo was summoned and got two outs but Sweeney got a double on a cutter which got two much of the plate and Ichiro delivered his fourth hit of the night with a walk off home run.
Rivera's consecutive save streak ended at 36 and Mo was tagged with the loss to put his record at 3-3. It was only the second blown save of the season for Mariano. His season ERA now stands at 1.94.
