04/11: Rivera Pitches Scoreless Inning as Yankees Beat Rays 7-3
Posted by: David
It wasn't a save situation, but Mo needed work. He hadn't pitched since Wednesday and tomorrow is an off day. With Sabathia flirting with a no hit bid yesterday, the bullpen was in need of work today.
A.J. Burnett started off shaky but returned in fine form and was followed by Joba Chamberlain and then Mo. Rivera faced Pat Burrell to start the inning and he singled to center. Dioner Navarro then quickly hit into a 6-4-3 double play and there were two quick outs. Sean Rodriguez walked and the Josh Bartlett struck out swinging to end the game. Rivera has worked three innings on the 2010 season with an 0-0 record and two saves. His ERA is still perfect at 0.00. CommentsNo comments yet.
