10/04: Rivera finishes first game of ALDS as Yankees beat the Tigers 8-4

It looked like Mo would have a save opportunity with the Yankees leading 7-4 in the eighth inning, however, Derek Jeter got his fifth hit of the game, a homer to make the score 8-4.

Rivera still pitched the ninth inning and only surrendered one hit. Brandon Inge led off and Mo went to 3-2 on him before getting him to pop up to first for the first out. Curtis Granderson looped a single to left but then Mo got Placido Polanco to hit into a 4-6-3 double play to end the game.

Rivera's postseason ERA now stands at 0.80.
