Mariano Rivera worked his eighth consecutive scoreless inning on Saturday afternoon vs. the Toronto Blue Jays. Mo pitched the top of the ninth in a tie game at the time of this writing.
Rivera faced John McDonald to start off the inning and got him to fly to left after an eight pitch battle. Ryan Roberts then bounced back to Mo for the second out. Michael Vento was caught looking for the final out of the inning.
For the spring, Mo has pitched 8 innings and has allowed only 3 hits, 0 walks and 0 runs.
