10/09: 2007 Season Comes to an End

Posted by: Patrick
The 2007 season has come to an end for the Yankees and for Mr. Rivera. We've already talked about his regular season and postseason numbers, so I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who visited and supported MarianoRivera.com this season. Thank you to David for a great year, as well.

It didn't end as we would have liked, but this was an exciting season. The Yanks were written off for dead before the break, but stormed back (with Mariano doing his part) to give the Sox a run and take the Wild Card. Even making the postseason, especially with how we started, was a big accomplishment. Congrats to Mo on another solid season.

We'll continue to have Mo news throughout the offseason with his impending free agency figuring to be a constant topic. So, stay tuned.

Want to be the first to say that Mo isn't going anywhere. He is more imporatant then Jeter,Posada,.He was more important back then and is now then those guys.Handy Andy and Mo showed why they where so valuable.

Thanks Patrick for the updates this season.Hope this Mo process for a contract isn't dragged out.

Thanks for the comment. :)

I don't know if I'd say that - they're all very valuable and you can't base those sorts of things on one or even a couple postseasons.

But, yeah, I hope this doesn't drag out. Unfortunately, I have a bad feeling that it will. It seems that Mo is intent on testing the market. So, it may take some time, but I think and hope he'll be back, as well.
