Mariano Rivera was on the mound after Jonathan Papelbon, but it wasn't a save situation since the scored was tied at 3. K-Rod started the inning and surrendered a walk. With one out, Mo was summoned and he struck out Ryan Ludwick swinging and Dioner Navarro gunned down the baserunner trying to steal second, completing a strike him out, throw him out double play..

The 10th inning was a bit more hairy but Mo was cool as always. He got McLouth looking but then yeilded one out singles to Martin and Tejada. However, Dan Uggla then grounded into a 4-6-3 double play to end the inning.

The game was eventually won in the 15th inning by the American League, 4-3. Justin Morneau scored the winning run on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Michael Young.

Mariano would've been the winning pitcher in the ASG in the 10th inning, Tuesday night; but the AL failed to score with 3 men on bases and no outs. It should be an special day for Mo to win the game at Yankee Stadium.

I completely agree with Mr. Diaz. I was confident that the AL would find a way to push the winning run across in the 10th and give Mo the victory he deserved. I was very happy to see Mo pitch so well. Although its never a surprise to see him succeed.

Highlight of my day was that I was in the first row of the All-Star Caravan up 6th Avenue, and got to see the brilliant closer from about 10 feet away. Looking forward to a brilliant second half.

Mr Lewis-Moore... that is one of the reason that Mo is the best closer in history. Mariano is amazing, in the worst situation he is able to maintain his composure, confidence, consistency, and making the quality of pitches. We hope that Mo will be healthy for the reamining of the season and also for the next few years with the Yankees uniform. Arriba Mariano.
