Marc Carig of The Star-Ledger reports that Mariano Rivera has removed himself from the 2010 American League All-Star Team roster due to injury.

According to the story, he's been pitching through an oblique injury since May and also some inflammation in his right knee, affecting his ability to push off. Though he's kept pitching, he'd rather take the All-Star break off in an effort to get healthier.
